They gave of several trailers of gameplay,
Several trailers came out over the past few months before La noire came out, and a couple of weeks before the game came onto the shelf the “The complete edition launch trailer” came out.
- How were British audiences targeted in the marketing of the game?
They used viral marketing, and guerilla marketing, and placed posters in busy areas such as London underground and with viral, placed posters on popular places such as YouTube, and imdb.
- How have Rock star maximized their potential revenue streams?
We wanted to create a campaign that gave the consumer more insight and drew them in emotionally. We set up a proposition, putting the consumer firmly in the position of having to make emotional decisions. This allowed us to create memorable character–driven executions to work alongside the main art. We created concepts that maintained brand consistency across all communication, ensuring that L.A. Noire would get not just exposure but effective exposure. The early stages of the design process for the POS saw us push the boundaries to produce not just effective units but also groundbreaking and memorable ones. Throughout the development we looked at embedding EL wire, LEDs, sound chips and neon lighting, and even built a 3D card car.

When you go onto the Rock Stars official website, you have to verify your age and on YouTube, you have to log into your account to confirm you are over the age that Pegi and bbfc decided was 18+

Rock star drip feed you with DLC, such as “reefer madness”, and access to join there social club on the official L.a noire website, and that you are able to purchase posters and tshirts etc.
